How to Invest
Transferring Traditional/Roth IRA
Please read and carefully follow each step of the procedures listed below for all IRA account transfers to avoid unnecessary delays in processing your account.

Step 1: Download the IRA Transfer Request and complete the top portion and Beneficiary Information.

Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view these documents.

Step 2: Complete the Transfer Instructions box, asking for a one-time request and a check made payable to Aegis Value Fund as Custodian of your IRA. Our Fund does not accept standing requests for installment transfers.

Step 3: Complete the Asset Liquidation Instructions box, making sure that the box "Liquidate Immediately" is checked. Our Fund does not accept transfers in kind. If the transfer represents the full account value, please write "All" under the "Quantity to be Transferred".

Step 4: If you are taking Required Minimum Distributions from your current IRA, please indicate whether you would like the current custodian to distribute or retain your Required Minimum Distribution Amount.

Step 5: Sign and date the form where indicated if the account transfer is between IRA accounts in your own name. If the transfer will be to a beneficiary or a former spouse rather than to you, the receiving individual must sign and date the form and have their signature notarized or guaranteed.

Step 6: Attach to the IRA Transfer Request form a copy of the latest account statement from your current IRA trustee.

Step 7: If you are not an existing IRA shareholder of the Aegis Value Fund, please also complete the Procedures for Opening Traditional IRA Accounts and Roth IRA Accounts.

Step 8: Return the completed forms to the address given. While we will process your request immediately upon receipt, you should be aware that accounts are transferred manually, a process that can take from three to five weeks or longer.

Please mail all completed documents and checks to:
